The Importance of Being Alkaline

More and more research is coming to the same conclusion - your body's pH balance in incredibly important for overall health. Not only does the body's metabolism work more efficiently but also so does the immune system. Pathogens (virus, bacteria, fungus, parasites, mycoplasma) cannot survive in a neutral pH. In addition, cancer cannot grow in a neutral pH. The bottom line = keep the body's pH close to neutral.
Ideally, one should eat a diet of 75% alkalizing foods and 25% acidic foods in a day. If we all did this we would catch far fewer colds, have a better chance of avoiding cancer and most likely maintain an ideal weight.

Sugar = Highly Acidic.
